From the desk of Crystal Andrus Morissette

As the founder of the Simply Woman magazine and the S.W.A.T. Institute (Simply Woman Accredited Trainer), I am consistently amazed by the women who are a part of our global coalition.

This week, I would love to showcase a woman who has overcome insurmountable odds to create a life of prosperity, joy, and love. Growing up in rural India, Binu Alag lived and learned, first hand, the huge disparity between the genders. The life of a daughter was very different than the life of a son.

By the time she was a young teenage girl she began pushing back and defying the role that was ‘assigned’ to her. Now as a married woman and mother living in Canada, Binu Alag has become a way shower for other women. She is a Master Empowerment Coach and Money-Magnet Prosperity Coach!

I had the opportunity to interview Binu and wanted to share a bit of her story with you.

Enjoy!

Crystal: How did you end up joining The S.W.A.T. Institute? Did your journey end up reflecting what you thought it would be?

Binu: I was feeling stuck in a corporate banking job that wasn’t resonating with me any longer. I knew there was more to life but I had no idea how to tap into my potential.  I was feeling so lost, frustrated, and angry.  Universal synchronicity connected me with Crystal’s work and The S.W.A.T Institute.  I deeply resonated with the message of this school and I knew this was my next step.  I listened to that divine guidance and enrolled in the Master Empowerment Coach Certification.

Crystal’s deep reflective inner work during The 12-Week Emotional Edge TeleCourse & the curriculum of this incredible coaching program became a beacon of light for me.  I connected with like-minded women from around the globe, and for the first time in my life, I felt a sense of belonging to a tribe who understood and accepted me for who I am.

This journey has been an EPIC experience.  It has changed my life in many profound ways that words can’t describe. I was able to fully process the dark, dense, side of my life and to heal myself in mind, body and spirit.  I learned the tools and techniques to empower myself and to view my life through totally different lenses.

Crystal: Are there any significant challenges you had growing up – that you wish to share – and what helped you through?

Binu: I grew up in a family that was very strict with cultural and traditional values.  My free spirit didn’t quite “see the box” I was expected to fit in.  My needs and desires weren’t understood.  I grew up feeling like the “black sheep” of the family; never really fitting in.  In my desperation to be loved, I made choices that left me feeling so angry and resentful.

When I first found Crystal, I was seeking answers for my anger.  These angry spells used to hit me out of nowhere. I’d throw things, scream, and literally punch the walls in my home.

With Crystal’s work on Emotional Age and emotional archetypes, I became aware that underneath my anger was a wounded Rebellious Teenager who was seeking attention. It all made sense now why my Warrior archetype was born! I thought I needed her to protect me!  No wonder I was lost, frustrated, and angry! My Emotional Age was a 15-year-old!

I realise now that my anger served a huge purpose once I was able to channel it into jet-fuel and bring constructive change in my life. Working with Crystal I realised it was time to finally put down that suit of armour.

This then allowed me to go even deeper in my healing process. The shame and guilt that I’d buried for so long were dissipating.  I started peeling back all these layers and feeling so much lighter.  I learned that my emotions are not who I am.

I’m not my story. I’m not my pain. I’m not my struggles. I’m not my anger. I’m not my shame or guilt or blame. I’m not any of these things.

There is a Higher Version of me that is magnificent, brilliant, golden, who has a calling and purpose to bring positive change in the world. This is who I really am!  And I love that I am able to step into this version of me to create a life of love, abundance, joy, and fulfilment.  I am an empowered Woman!

Crystal: What piece of advice would you give your younger Self?

Binu: I’ve learned to embrace and love my younger Self. She has been through hell and back but learned all the lessons necessary for her growth and evolution.  I have 3 simple words for her “I LOVE YOU”.

Crystal: What are you doing now that you’ve graduated and how can people find you?

Binu: I’m now a Certified Master Empowerment Coach, fully equipped with tools, techniques, resources, training and practical mentorship through The S.W.A.T Institute. I feel so confident in guiding my clients through personal barriers that have kept them stuck in a landscape that doesn’t serve them anymore.

My greatest passionate is helping women become financially free.

So many women stay stuck in toxic jobs, relationships, and environments because of their financial situation. A big part of creating prosperity, I’ve learned, is to heal our ‘money story’ and then master our money messages while creating authentic packages / programs / products that our clients want and need. This is my speciality now! Teaching women how to be wealthy! I love it!

When I can teach a woman to fall in love with money conversations so they can create wealth through their own meaningful work and impact the world, I am living my truth! I am inspired and in spirit!

I’ve also learned that nothing in our past is pointless. My corporate experience as a Business Advisor working for one of the top banks in Canada, along with all that I’ve learned as a Master Empowerment Coach gave me all that I needed to become an expert in Money Mastery.

In fact, I’m so excited to share a new program called Magnetic Money Mastery!
