To simply put, the act of reading books tends to enchant your body, mind, and soul. What basically makes it so interesting is its ability to introduce the readers to a new world, make them travel through the lands unknown to the real world, introduce them to mesmerizing characters that at the time stays within the imaginations of readers throughout their lives. Be it fiction, non-fiction, poetry, contractor books, a classical drama, or simply a motivational piece to text, every kind of book has its own charm. However, the habit of reading itself can do wonders for your soul and body, here is how:

Broadens Your Vision:
We as humans tend to limit and adapt our mindsets according to the social standards and approval of the society around us. This confines our thinking within the boundaries of what is supposed to be the ‘right direction’ as per the social constructs, thus, putting an end or rather stopping us to grow as an individual that has the ability to look beyond the horizon.

However, when we read books, we explore new places. We learn about how life is being taken in different places around the globe. Learning through experiences of the writer broadens our vision and stimulates our cognition. Without getting out of your room or getting on the road, you can become a learned individual, with an open heart and pure mind.

Boosting Analytical Skills:
We all have been there at some point, if we have read a book halfway through, we always try to figure out what will happen next, how the narrative is going to unfold. The way reading compels us to think and analyze the situation helps in boosting up our analytical skills. Putting our efforts into understanding the narrative stimulates our cognition that in turn leads to better mental health. You learn to focus on things more effectively.

Better Sleep:
Making reading a bedtime ritual has been a beneficial and healthy habit for many. You can just read a few pages and can fall asleep within minutes. Unlike the usage of mobile phones before sleeping when increased screen time results in a change in sleeping patterns, reading books is more preferable for those who found it difficult to fall asleep instantly. Above, it is the best way to put an end to a tiring day. It will be more like a ‘me time’ when you can completely stop stressing over your problems and can get an escape from reality. Better sleep ensures better physical and mental health.

Be a Better You!
Reading can do wonders for you as a person. It can play a vital role in making you a better individual. It has the power to evoke all your emotions; can make you happy, can make you cry, makes to empathize, and sympathize with characters. It mobilizes within your skepticism and makes you question your purpose in life that in turn motivates you to change yourself and become a new better you. Reading can magically take you out of the worldly affairs and its toxicity and put you back to the humanitarian basis; our inborn abilities and attributes.

Final Thoughts:
We can simply come up to the conclusion that reading can nourish your soul and nurture your mind and body. It makes you grow and become a better person. No matter what you have read, it will always leave a hint of it in your persona. Make sure to choose wisely between the narratives, pick the ones that are food for your soul. Happy Reading!
