You’ve started your business and you’re a bit nervous and excited to finally be doing what you are truly meant to be doing with your life, right?

I’m sure you have heard about how to grow your business, you need to show up consistently on live videos, sharing your stories and offers. You see all your competitors going live on Facebook, IGTV and TikTok, sharing vulnerable posts and chatting in their Instastories every damn day.

“How do they do it?”, you wonder.

Putting yourself out there can feel daunting, doesn’t it?

What if I go blank? Stumble over my words? Or forget something I want to say?
What if no one shows up? What if someone judges me? Criticizes me in the comments?  Oh man, I’ll be so embarrassed.

The fears are real.

And they are keeping you stuck.

Keeping you in your comfort zone where nothing grows or expands.

The good new is that you can overcome them. You can finally eliminate these paralyzing fears so you can get on with creating your profitable and life changing online business.

One of the first things that you want to do is to remind yourself of why it’s so important to eliminate your fears.

It’s incredibly important so that you can regularly attract clients to create consistent income. If you hide behind memes and stock photos, then you’ll never let your potential clients get to know you enough to resonate with you or trust you. If your audience doesn’t have a chance to build trust with you, she’s never going to buy from you.  And if you aren’t showing up often enough, your ideal client may not even be able to find you.

Being seen regularly, allows you to show up like an expert. Think about it. All the entrepreneurs that you admire are showing up regularly, aren’t they? They do their lives, show themselves and sharing their stories everyday. They are proving to their audience that they know what they’re doing to be successful and they are practicing what they preach.

Plus when you are showing up as your true authentic self consistently, you naturally attract those that you can help. When you show up with advice, tips and offer valuable content to your audience, your soul mate clients find you. They have a chance to find you, to get to know you and to builds relationship and trust.
So now that you know how important it is, how do you actually shift this fear?

  1. Get in touch with your heart. Think back to why you started this work in the first place. The pull was probably not from the head, there was a calling from the heart, wasn’t there? The heart knows what we want to become and what our soul came here to do. We have to follow it find a meaningful reason to courageously use our voices, stand in our power and claim our worth. When you start to follow your heart, the universe supports you and more and more synchronicities will show up to guide you, help you and cheer you on.
  2. Reprogram Your Mind. We all have that inner critic, that inner voice that says “You can’t do it.” Or “No one is going to care what you have to say”.  Right? Well, It’s awfully hard to feel confident when someone (yourself) is constantly criticizing you so your very first step is to turn her into your inner cheerleader instead. You’ll want to use curiosity and mindfulness to start noticing these thoughts and identify what you are truly afraid of. For example, if you are afraid of being criticized, ask yourself why you are scared of being criticized? How do you feel when you are criticized? Uncover the root cause of the fear, instead of focusing on the surface fear. Once you have a list of those fears & limiting beliefs, then you can do two things. You can ask your higher power (God, The Universe, Source) to take these fears from you and transform them into the clarity and power to bust through them. And since we know that God helps those who help themselves, you’ll want to start reprogramming your mind too. Transform each limiting fear into an empowering statement that you can use as an affirmation. And then say that affirmation about 100 times. Every. Single. Day.You get to chose what you believe. A belief is a thought you repeat to yourself over and over again until it feels true to you. So start telling yourself how much you love doing live video, and be amazed as it come true.
  3. Own Your Worth & Love Yourself.  The main reason so many women struggle with being seen is that they don’t truly love, accept and approve of themselves. Unfortunately, in this day and age, most women have a deeply engrained belief of “I am not enough.” This is a core belief from wounds we have endured in our past. For our entire lifetime and thousands of years before, our patriarchal culture has systematically invalidated feminine gifts like intuition, emotional intelligence, nurturing, and healing. This invalidation of feminine gifts leaves women feeling like their natural gifts are not enough. When you aren’t confident in your value and worth, you don’t want to be seen so the most important work you can do to overcome your fear of being seen is to learn how to fully love, accept and approve of yourself.

Feeling comfortable while being visible online is really about believing in yourself enough to put yourself out there. It’s about knowing that you are good enough as you are and that you have a very important message to share with your audience. Taking these 3 steps will help you reframe being visible from a scary experience to “it’s selfish to not be seen because there is someone who will miss out on receiving your message that they really needed to hear that day. “

You’ve got this. Go out and get visible.
