As a new entrepreneur wanting to earn an income online, you know that you have to stand out from the crowd.

To do that, you need a unique value proposition. Something that no one else has.

You need your own unique niche.

The conventional advice around identifying your niche is to evaluate what you are good at, what you enjoy doing, who you want to work with, what people need and what people will pay for and then find a way to combine them all into your unique niche.

And if you know yourself very well, this may work for you. If so, excellent! You probably don’t need to read the rest of this article.

If this hasn’t worked for you then, read on.

In my experience of working with hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs, I’ve realized that this doesn’t work for many multi-passionate aspiring entrepreneurs.

They say things like: “I love doing SO many things, how will I choose? I’m trained in empowerment coaching, reiki, yoga instruction, and copywriting. And besides, I want to help everyone. How can I possibly choose just one?”

Sound familiar?

I thought so. When I first started thinking about opening my coaching business, I had trouble figuring out what my niche was because I can do many things quite well and I am extremely multi-passionate.

It wasn’t until I started niching from the inside out that things started to fall together for me.

I believe each one of us has come to this earth with a unique life purpose and unique gifts, skills and talents. When you align your niche with your unique purpose and gifts, you can avoid so much confusion, frustration & overwhelm.

As you uncover your purpose and understand your unique gifts, you gain clarity and insights around how you are meant to live your life, who to help, how to help and even how to get paid while doing so.  This allows you to create a niche and craft a brand based around your soul’s unique purpose that excites you, motivates you and makes you unstoppable.

So I personally guide my clients to create their niche taking these steps:

  1. Ask Your Intuition
Meditate and ask your Soul questions like “How would you like to change the world before you leave it?” and “What are you, my soul, trying to express through me?”.
  2. Examine Your Lifestory
Look back at your life as if it were a story and ask yourself “If my whole life had been preparing me to solve a problem for my clients, what is that one problem that you have learned how to solve? What have I learned through my life experiences that will help others now?
  3. Understand Your Own Unique Design (and personality).
We are all one of a kind, you know that, but do you know exactly how you are different from everyone else? Do you know what makes you unique? There are many systems for understanding yourself on a deeper level such as Astrology, Enneagram, Human Design, Gene Keys and Archetypes. I encourage you to choose a method that feels good to you, and dive in. Learn as much as you can about yourself.

As you do this, you will begin to understand who you truly are, what your soul wants to accomplish here and who you are meant to help. You will identify unique talents, skills and strengths that you couldn’t see before. This will allow you to create a unique niche and brand for your business based completely on yourself and your life purpose. When you know your business is based on your life purpose you have more staying power, you have clarity about what steps to take and staying power in the face of obstacles.

This allows you to create meaningful, profitable work and live an incredibly fulfilling life while positively impacting your community by sharing your unique gifts. What more could you want?
