Your Weekly Overview March 21st – March 27th:

Bring on the bon mots! This Monday, March 21 communication planet Mercury moves into agile Aries until April 5. Clever banter, inspired bursts of brilliance, shameless come-ons—yep, our exchanges will be charged with the Ram’s spirited dynamism. Friendships and flirtations can heat up quickly over the coming two weeks. But don’t send off for the matching heart-shaped lockets just yet. These flash fires may fizzle as fast as they sizzle! Enjoy the heated rush of spring fever while it lasts. DO keep a capture tool close at hand. While this restless Mercury spell makes it hard to focus for long spells, the ideas we dream up now could be worth their weight in platinum.

Eclipse season rounds out with Wednesday’s full moon, a lunar eclipse in harmonious, romantic Libra. Flip back to October 12, 2015 because an initiative you began then could really come to fruition now—and in surprising ways, since eclipses always bring the X factor. This eclipse is the grand finale of a trio of annual Libra eclipses that began on April 15, 2014 with a sequel on April 4, 2015.

Relationships—for business and pleasure—have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for many people since then. From wakeups to shakeups, lunar eclipses reveal what’s hidden in the shadows, like secret crushes, hidden issues, buried desires, covert agendas. Eclipses may bring sudden change, but they can also speed up progress. Unlike a solar eclipse, which casts a shadow on the Earth, a lunar eclipse allows us to see the shadow. So metaphorically, eclipses like this week’s can bring revelations…IF we are willing to look! Getting real about issues is step one in dealing and healing, after all. And that’s been a lesson of this Libra lunar eclipse series:

When it comes to relationships, are we willing to embrace the “for better” AND the “for worse”? Couples have no doubt dealt with major issues since April 2014—but what doesn’t kill a relationship can make it stronger. Still, wouldn’t it be nice to have a smoother ride on the Sea of Love? Calmer waters are in sight and we’re just about there. Since eclipses start at a later degree (in this case, 25-degree Libra—then 14-degree and now 3-degree Libra), the first cut is the deepest. While Wednesday’s eclipse may bring one last test, it could also bring cause for a “look’s like we made it” celebration! There could be a flurry of engagements or “we’ve eloped” announcements or that magic moment where a long-simmering attraction finally manifests into a kiss, or a killer business deal.

On Friday, taskmaster Saturn slips into its annual retrograde, retreating through worldly, philosophical Sagittarius until August 13. Expansion plans could hit a speed bump, and if so don’t even bother trying to forge ahead “against all odds.” First, pull over and pop open the hood. This slowdown gives us a moment to fine-tune and adjust, making sure that we have solid structures in place to support our growth. What feels like hard work in the moment CAN create ease mid-August, if we put proper systems in place. Issues surrounding global politics, cross-cultural relationships and the education system will be pushed further into the headlines now. And plans to relocate, go back to school, or start a business could be met with some challenges.

While you don’t need to cancel them on Saturn’s account, you may need to reassess. Is this really where you want to put your time and energy? If your heart isn’t in it, you’ll struggle to find the motivation. But if you’re clearly pursuing a passion, anchor-weight Saturn gives you the power to muscle through the toughest parts of the process and come out stronger on the other side. A daily practice will make perfect—this is your chance to grow into a more disciplined person, even if you’re a little bored by the routine from time to time.
